I'm Shirika Bevill, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a passion for empowering individuals, couples, and families to achieve greater well-being. I specialize in working with children and adults, offering tailored therapy that fosters growth and resilience. I earned my bachelor's degree in social work from Mississippi State University in 2001 and my master's degree in social work from the University of Alabama in 2002. In 2017, I elevated my professional expertise by earning a Trauma-Informed Care certification from Mississippi College, deepening my ability to provide compassionate, evidence-based support to individuals impacted by trauma.

I have gained extensive experience across diverse settings. I have over 20 years of experience. My career encompasses a diverse range of experiences across multiple settings, including outpatient mental health care and the Department of Veterans Affairs, where I have the honor of supporting those who have served our nation. Additionally, I have conducted treatment and assessment recommendations for Child Protective Services, ensuring the well-being and safety of vulnerable children and families.

My approach to therapy is rooted in creating a safe, compassionate, and trusting environment where clients feel heard and supported. By exploring the connections between past experiences and present challenges, I help clients gain deeper self-awareness and develop practical strategies for navigating life’s complexities. I am dedicated to teaching tools for emotional regulation, improving relationships, and making empowered decisions.

My approach:

I believe in tailoring therapy to the unique needs of each individual. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all method, I integrate a blend of therapeutic modalities. My approach is strengths-based, emphasizing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—to help clients renew, restore, and sustain their well-being.
